Accelerus Training
Schools with an up-to-date support agreement are entitled to register for Accelerus Training Courses. However the support agreement itself, while entitling a school to free upgrades of the Accelerus software and telephone/email support, does not include training costs.
Accelerus trainers can run training courses for individual schools either on site, online or at the Semaphore Consulting office. This type of training is usually customised to a school's needs and may include working on a copy of the school's database to make the training experience more relevant, or even working to update the live database.
Examples
- Setting up a new year or semester, especially where the school has very specific requirements or new reporting coordinators.
- Analysing your data, including setting up analyses.
- Design and creation of your report templates.
- Optimising your use of Accelerus, including making full use of its assessment capacities.

The How To guides provide step-by-step information on processes that are not part of the core functioning of Accelerus but may be utilised within Accelerus. For example, Microsoft Word allows the insertion of photos and the use of If fields in templates that may be handy when setting up your school's report templates.
Full details, including steps and examples, on all of the Accelerus windows and processes can be found in the Accelerus on-line help. Press F1 in any Accelerus window to bring up the help about that particular window and all of its functions.

Troubleshooting
This page contains details of specific known issues and their solutions for Accelerus administrators.
In addition, the Changes in Accelerus Builds page should be visited to see if a more recent build to that which you are currently running has fixed the problem you have encountered and, if so, update your version of Accelerus to the latest version .
Otherwise, if an error is encountered in Accelerus that cannot be found on the Changes page, the following steps should be taken:
- Check the version and build of Accelerus being used. (Help > About in Accelerus; Teacher Name dropdown > About in Accelerus Web)
- Make note of the exact error text, the window you were in and the steps you were taking prior to the problem being encountered.
- Check the list of articles below to find the correct error text or problem description.
- Follow the article steps which may include having to update your version of Accelerus to a later version that fixes the problem.
- If a problem has been encountered that is not found in the list of articles, or the article's solution does not fix the problem, call the Accelerus Help desk.

Samples
This page contains a range of sample files that may be useful for Accelerus administrators, providing ideas of what is possible in Accelerus; as a starting point or as the basis for your own files, eg when setting up analyses; and to provide information on more advanced processes such as the use of graphic functions.
Some instructions on basic customising of the samples to meet your school's needs can be found on the website.
However, Accelerus administrators are reminded that the formulation of calculations and analyses and the setting up of specific reports or templates are not covered by their school's Accelerus Licence Conditions. Further assistance and specific customisations are available on a fee for service basis.
