The DEECD algorithm that is used to determine the A-E scale and dot position
Below is a link to the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development (DEECD) algorithm that is used to create the A-E scale for a domain/dimension and how Accelerus will plot the rating for each domain. This algorithm should be read in conjunction with the VELS dimension codes and associated scores table to understand where the D rating will applied for each dimension. VELS dimension codes and associated scores
Not all VELS dimensions are assessed at every year level. This table is helpful to understand why particular dimensions are only available at a particular year level and why some dimensions have a limited range of possible scores.
