Q. How secure is our data?
A. We prioritise data security with utmost seriousness at Accelerus. We utilise state-of-the-art Microsoft Azure servers located in Australia. Additionally, we are an authorized ST4S vendor, ensuring compliance with stringent security standards. Learn more at ST4S.
Q. How long will it take to migrate our database to the hosted service?
A. During the migration process you will lose the ability to access Accelerus for a period of up to 5 days from the receipt of your school’s database and information. In urgent cases, we can expedite the migration, provided time permits.
Q. Is there a cost involved for us to migrate our database to the Accelerus hosted service?
A. Yes, there is a cost involved for this service, including:
- a) A one time migration fee
- b) An ongoing annual hosting service fee
Q. Will I still be able to use Accelerus Desktop?
A. Yes, you can still use Accelerus Desktop for now. Once we migrate your database to the cloud, we'll send you new login details. We recommend trying out Accelerus Web for setup and management tasks—it's super convenient! If you need help transitioning or have any questions, just reach out to our support team for a quick training session!
Q. Will we lose any data during the migration process?
A. Having successfully migrated hundreds of schools to our hosting service, we assure you that data loss has not occured. However, some issues have arisen in cases where schools, after years of on-premise usage, couldn’t locate historical templates and template parts files. This challenge often stems from changes in file locations by technicians or the absence of a centralised file repository. Moving to our hosted services eliminates this issue as these files are internally stored, eliminating reliance on external locations.
Q. What do I need to do to prepare for hosting?
A. We will communicate a detailed list of preparatory steps via email to all schools ahead of the migration.
